  • Frederick II, the Great

The Prussian King Frederick the Great, born on January 24, 1712, King of Prussia 31. May 1740, Freemasons since 1738,

died 17. August 1786. Founder of the first Prussian Grand Lodge to the three world balls. He carried out extensive reforms in the legal and educational system, in the army and in agriculture. He was an important patron of science and art and practised himself in tolerance. A quote from him is: "… because here everyone must be blessed after his Fasson." (1740)
